RALEIGH – Former NC State women’s basketball player Jennifer Mathurin has signed a professional contract with defending champion Amicale Steinsel of the Luxembourg Total League.

Amicale was quite successful last season, winning regular-season, cup, and playoff titles with a 22-2 record. The club operates in the city of Steinsel in central Luxembourg.

“Basketball has been a part of my life for a very long time and despite the ups, downs, and sacrifices that I have had to make for the game I love, I was not yet ready for this chapter of my life to end,” Mathurin said. “I am extremely thankful for the opportunity presented to me and would like to thank all of the people who have and will continue to support me through my journey.”

Mathurin spent the last two seasons on the ACC All-Academic Team and started 30 of NC State’s 32 games during her senior year (2016-17). She averaged 26.3 minutes, 9.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while scoring in double figures on 13 occasions and recording two double-doubles. She concluded her Wolfpack career having played 142 games (92 starts), and scoring 934 points while collecting 640 rebounds. Her mark of 640 career rebounds is currently tied for 15th in the 43-season history of the Wolfpack women’s basketball program.
