School of Social Work to Sponsor and Attend CSWE Annual Program Meeting
The NC State School of Social Work (SSW) is proud to sponsor the 70th Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting! The meeting will take place from October 24-27, 2024 in Kansas City, MO.
CSWE APM is a national meeting of social work educators, researchers, and professionals. Our School is excited to highlight our faculty and student accepted presentations for the 2024 meeting below.
- Dr. Sarah Ascienzo on the current state of well-being in higher education and the role of social work
- Drs. Sarah Ascienzo and Maura Nsonwu on exploring organizational correlation of secondary traumatic stress.
- Professor Crystal Campbell on creating a diverse child welfare workforce and preparing future practitioners through an environmental justice lens.
- Dr. Yarneccia D. Dyson on taking a futurist approach to preparing equity-minded practitioners to collaborate and serve with indigenous communities
- Dr. Terrance Ruth and Taheem Thomas, MSW Candidate, on social workers’ role in enhancing voter engagement and trust in democracy
As a sponsor of APM 2024, the SSW will have a booth in the exhibitor hall. Staff and graduate assistants will represent our School at the official booth.
Our School is committed to collaborative research, as part of our Leading Change Together Strategic Plan. The SSW looks forward to engaging with social work educators from across the nation at APM 2024.
