Drs. Stansbury and Kim Earn Promotions
Our School is proud to announce that Dr. Kim L. Stansbury and Dr. Sung-Ju Kim have earned promotions, effective August 16, 2023!
Dr. Stansbury, the Associate Head and Director of Graduate Programs, has earned a promotion to Full Professor. According to Dr. Yarneccia D. Dyson, Head of the School, “The School of Social Work is very fortunate to have Dr. Stansbury’s leadership and expertise in our Programs. Her contributions to the science, through her research and scholarship have been monumental, resulting in her promotion to Full Professor. This is empowering for so many scholars and junior faculty in our field, and academia, as a whole.”
Dr. Kim, currently an Assistant Professor teaching in the BSW Program, has earned tenure and a promotion to Associate Professor. Speaking on Dr. Kim’s achievements, Dr. Dyson said, “Dr. Kim’s meaningful and impactful contributions through his teaching and advising, research, and scholarship have been instrumental in him earning tenure and promotion. The School of Social Work is especially proud of his leadership in the areas of philanthropic and non-profit comparative studies as well as his contributions to global engagement.”
