CHASS Faculty Colleague Mentoring Award Winner – Dr. Kim Stansbury

Dr. Kim Stansbury, Associate Professor and Associate Head of the School of Social Work, has been selected to receive the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) 2021-2022 Faculty Colleague Mentoring Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize the achievements of formal mentors providing consistent support to their faculty colleagues in CHASS.

Over the last five years, Dr. Stansbury has provided invaluable guidance and mentorship to Dr. Qiana Cryer-Coupet in her professional growth and development, as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. According to Dr. Karen Bullock, Head of the School of Social Work, “Dr. Stansbury’s mentorship goes above and beyond the selection committee criteria. Moreover, she was a “stand-out” among her CHASS faculty peers.”

Now that Dr. Cryer-Coupet has achieved the rank of tenured Associate Professor, Dr. Stansbury will be matched with a new Assistant Professor and continue to provide mentorship to faculty.
