Department Head, Dr. Karen Bullock, National Association of Deans and Directors (NADD) Appointment and Plenary Address

Karen Bullock, Head of the Department of Social Work was elected to the Board of Director for the National Association of Deans and Directors (NADD), Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Accredited Social Work Programs. With this appointment Dr. Bullock, will serve on the Executive Committee, as the Treasurer of NADD, effective this fiscal year, 2018-2019.

 

Professor Karen Bullock, John A. Hartford Faculty Scholar gave the Plenary Address at the California State University Palliative Care Symposium, last month, on Cultural Influences of Palliative Care Decisions. As a nationally recognized expert on healthcare disparities, palliative and end-of-life care, the specific aims of her presentation was to advance social work practice, education and cultural competence among an inter-professional audience of hospice and palliative care practitioners.
