Social Work Department Head Appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Psychosocial Oncology

Dr. Karen Bullock, Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work, has been appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Psychosocial Oncology for a two year term (2017-2019).

The Journal of Psychosocial Oncology provides the latest developments in the psychosocial care and treatment of cancer patients. The Journal—examines exploratory and hypothesis testing and presenting program evaluation research on critical areas, including: the stigma of cancer; employment and personal problems facing cancer patients; patient education; family involvement in patient care; children with cancer; the psychosocial needs of cancer patients; hospital and hospice staff; and volunteers. 

The Journal’s editorial board members represent interdisciplinary fields in psychosocial oncology, including social work, education, epidemiology, health advocacy, medical oncology, neurology, nursing, nutrition, pastoral counseling, physical therapy, psychiatry, psychology, public health, sociology, and surgical oncology.
