MSW Student Wins CSWE Carl A. Scott Book Scholarship

Miea Walker is currently a second-year MSW student. Her recent experience includes a field placement at Triangle Family Services, as an intake coordinator with the homeless population in the areas of housing and financial assistance and previously at Converting Hearts Ministries, providing clinical counseling to family members of individuals struggling with addiction. The $500 scholarship is awarded, through a national competition, to students who have demonstrated a commitment to social work for equity and social justice.
