Resources for MSW Applicants

Application Fee Sponsorship or Waiver

If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may email socialwork_office@ncsu.edu to request that the School of Social Work pay your application fee. We will approve a limited number of requests. In the event that the School declines your request, you may ask the Graduate School to waive the application fee. The Graduate School generally will not waive the application fee except in cases of documented financial need and special circumstances. If you would like to request a fee waiver, first submit your application. Next, contact the Assistant Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. David Shafer, david_shafer@ncsu.edu, for instructions. Please note that fee waivers are rarely granted and that your application will not be processed by the Graduate School unless and until the fee is paid or the fee waiver is approved.
