Bachelor of Social Work Major

NC State’s bachelor of social work program is one of the first of its kind to be established in the entire United States. We’ve been training social workers for more than 30 years. We’re experts in our field, and we’ll prepare you to be an expert social worker.

Bachelor of Social Work Minor

Learn about the elements of social work, the social welfare system and social justice. Combine your interests in social work with sociology, political science, psychology or related fields. A minor in social work will help you think and do. 

Master of Social Work

We prepare graduate students for careers in the helping profession of social work. Options for MSW students include a 12-month, intensive, full-time program of study and a more traditional two-year, full-time program. Regardless of your track, you’ll get extensive preparation in the classroom and hands-on experience in the field. Plus plenty of support from your advisor and other faculty mentors. We set you up to succeed.
